Join me for a fun 3-day mosaic workshop where you’ll dive into my world of color, texture, and design to create either a weatherproof mosaic birdhouse (complete with a mounting pole!) or a stunning 21-inch mandala mirror for indoor display. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced mosaic artist, this class is designed to be fun, relaxing, and educational—with plenty of space for you to let your creativity shine!

I’ve been creating mosaics full-time in my Seattle studio for over 23 years and in that time, I’ve helped over 800 students discover their artistic potential—many of whom walked into class thinking they weren’t creative at all! I love watching students surprise themselves as they gain confidence, learn new techniques, and walk away with pieces that look professional and uniquely their own.

Whether you're new to mosaics or have been creating for years, you'll learn tips and techniques that I’ve developed through years of trial and error—from cutting glass tiles to fit a round substrate to designing intricate patterns with beads and tiles that beautifully balance color and texture.

What’s Included?

One of the best parts of this workshop is the huge selection of high-quality materials I bring along. You’ll have access to an extensive variety of glass tiles, beads, and unique mosaic materials in a rainbow of colors, textures, and finishes. Whether you prefer bright, bold designs or subtle, earthy tones, you’ll have plenty of options to create a piece that reflects your personal style.

Materials Included:

• For the Birdhouse: A weatherproof structure, mounting pole, and all mosaic materials needed to create a functional and beautiful outdoor piece.

• For the Mandala Mirror: A 21” round mirror base, with an option to upgrade to a 26” size. I also prep the frames with a silver or gold ball chain, depending on your preference, to give your mirror a polished, finished look.

All tools, adhesives, and materials are provided—you just need to show up ready to create!
